Let’s Talk 4th Edition

I started playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in 7th grade, at the tender age of 12. Well, technically, I started out in a dumbed down version of the game my teacher called “Happy Little Campers.”  It was just a basic rundown of tabletop roleplaying to get you started on the path to imm-nerd-tality.  I had fun playing but it wasn’t what I wanted.  I wanted magic, I wanted wizard, and most of all I wanted power.  Of course, I was a snot-nosed little kid and didn’t know any better.  The finer points of D&D are the role playing, obviously, but I was more interested in the battle. Enter a world most peculiar…

You find yourself in a long, stone hall with walls so high they stretch into the darkness.  There are torches in brackets strewn along the path but even their light fails to reach the ceiling above.  The path is wide enough to travel only in pairs, creating the effect of being dropped down a large well.  You’ve overcome several trolls standing sentinel at the south end and now head north, into the unknown.

If this scenario has you incredibly excited then perhaps this is the blog for you.  My name is John and I would like to welcome you to Dragonass.  As crude a name as that sounds, and it is, I promise things will not get too exaggerated.  This blog will be a hodgepodge of Dungeons and Dragons related postings, mostly involving the player’s side of the game, but also some musings will be made into the creation of adventures, reviewing adventures, and running games as well.  Nothing is off limits.
